Sister Wan's Char Kway Teow (Lorong Selamat)

Arguably the most famous char kway teow in all of Penang, Sister Wan's stall on Lorong Selamat draws tourists and locals alike for her fiery wok-fried flat noodles. The stall gained national fame through media coverage and word-of-mouth. Sister Wan fries each plate over fierce charcoal heat, producing an intense smoky wok hei flavour. The plate includes prawns, cockles, egg, bean sprouts, and chives. Expect a significant wait during peak hours - the stall is no secret.
