Business events in Penang
Two purpose-built convention centres, an international airport, and a heritage-and-food destination delegates actually want to come to. Here's where to hold a conference, exhibition or corporate event in Penang โ and how to plan it.
Why Penang for business events
Connected
Penang International Airport (PEN) in Bayan Lepas has growing direct regional connectivity, making it reachable for delegates across Asia without a KL transfer.
Two purpose-built centres
Penang has two dedicated convention and exhibition centres โ the long-established Setia SPICE and the new waterfront PWCC โ plus hotel ballrooms and heritage spaces in George Town.
Delegates get a destination
A UNESCO World Heritage core, a celebrated food scene and beaches are minutes away โ so an event doubles as an incentive or bleisure draw, not just a room booking.
Competitive cost
Venue, accommodation and F&B costs in Penang are typically lower than Singapore or major Western convention cities for a comparable standard.
