Roti Canai Transfer Road

Roti Canai Transfer Road is one of George Town's busiest morning roti canai stalls, going strong for around 45 to 50 years. The menu is simple and done well: hot, flaky roti canai pulled and griddled to order, served with a bright, richly spiced chicken or beef curry — many order it with a tender stewed chicken leg on the side. The little Muslim-run stall spills out under an awning with a few more tables in a courtyard across the road, and business is brisk enough that you'll usually queue. Come early — it only runs through the morning.
