Tho Yuen has been serving Cantonese breakfast and lunch on Campbell Street since 1930, and picked up a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for its old-school value. Dim sum still comes round on push carts — har gow, siew mai, char siu pastries and the famous egg tarts that sell out fast — alongside plates of Hainanese chicken rice and dried hor fun. The setting is a faded, high-ceilinged kopitiam full of regulars; arrive early for the widest choice of carts and a seat. It is one of George Town's enduring heritage-dining institutions.
