Hameediyah Restaurant

Hameediyah on Lebuh Campbell is Penang's oldest nasi kandar restaurant, established in 1907. Over a century of operation has made it a George Town institution. The restaurant is particularly famous for its nasi kandar, murtabak, and briyani. The murtabak (stuffed pan-fried flatbread) here is considered among the best in Penang, with fillings of minced mutton, onions, and egg. The heritage shophouse setting adds to the sense of dining in history. Hameediyah has been endorsed by multiple Malaysian prime ministers.
