Line Clear is one of Penang's most iconic nasi kandar restaurants, operating from a narrow alley off Penang Road since the 1940s. Nasi kandar is Penang's signature Indian-Muslim rice dish: steamed rice with a variety of curries and side dishes ladled over it. Line Clear is famous for its rich, flavourful curries (chicken, mutton, fish, squid, crab) and the practice of "banjir" (flooding) - mixing all the curry gravies together over the rice for maximum flavour. Open nearly 24 hours, it is a favourite post-midnight supper spot.
