Hot Bowl on Jalan Rangoon is one of Penang's best-loved curry mee stalls, recognised with a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand. Its signature 'white' curry mee arrives creamy and mild with the chilli paste served on the side, so you set your own heat — piled with tofu puffs, prawns, cuttlefish, cockles and congealed pig's blood. You can customise it freely: order it kosong (just bean sprouts), or skip the blood, squid or cockles. It is also known for its poached chicken. Expect a queue at peak breakfast and lunch hours.
