HAP Dessert and Toast

HAP Dessert & Toast is a bright, fully air-conditioned dessert cafe tucked into the Macalister Hotel on Lebuh Nanning, just off Jalan Macalister in George Town. It has built a following among Penang's younger crowd for Japanese-leaning sweets — wobbly souffle pancakes, generously sized kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) and buttery Shibuya toast — alongside waffles, croffles, gelato and coffee. A brunch menu runs until mid-afternoon, after which the focus shifts to desserts and drinks.
