China House is one of the longest heritage buildings in George Town, comprising three interconnected heritage houses that have been restored into a sprawling cafe, restaurant, bakery, art gallery, and live music venue. The cafe section is famous for its massive display of over 30 different cakes and desserts daily, all baked in-house. The compound also houses an art gallery with rotating exhibitions and a live performance space with jazz nights. It is an all-day destination - coffee and cake in the afternoon, dinner and live music in the evening.
