Awesome Char Koay Teow

Awesome Char Koay Teow is a family-run stall inside New KK99 Cafe on Jalan Lembah Permai in Tanjung Bungah, now into its third generation under Mr Low and a Michelin Bib Gourmand listee. Every plate is fried to order over high heat, building the smoky char and 'wok hei' that define a great CKT, with big, fresh prawns and a generous scatter of crispy pork lard. It's a quieter alternative to the island's famous queue-stalls and a regular on Penang's best-CKT lists.
