Penang 2028 — Early Outline

Expected public holidays, long weekends and festivals for 2028. Every date here is expected until the official lists are published.

Early outline — everything here is expected. Malaysia’s 2028 public-holiday list is normally published around August of the year before, and the Malaysian and Singapore school calendars later still, so they are not shown yet. Holiday estimates are from publicholidays.com.my; lunar dates from the Hong Kong Observatory’s 2028 table; Tamil dates from Drik Panchang for George Town. Thaipusam 2028 is unsettled: sources give 9 Feb and 13 Feb. Last checked Mon 5 Oct 2026.

Long weekends 2028

Worked out from the public holidays and the Saturday–Sunday weekend, including replacement days. Long weekends that fall in school holidays carry a “book early” warning, because families travel then.
