Gurney Bay Hotel, a PARKROYAL Hotel, is a 368-room upscale hotel at 53 Persiaran Gurney (10250), on the Gurney Drive seafront in George Town. It took on PARKROYAL management on 1 September 2024, rebranding and refreshing the former Evergreen Laurel Hotel Penang. Rooms span seven categories — Superior Cityview, Deluxe Seaview, Premier Seaview, Deluxe Cityview Suite, Premier Seaview Suite, Executive Seaview Suite and the Presidential Suite — with sea views over the Straits or city views toward Penang Hill. The leisure facilities are a strength: a swimming pool and separate children's pool, a jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms, a fully equipped gym and an outdoor tennis court. Dining is anchored by The Café, serving international buffets, with a Lobby Lounge and Bar; the hotel also hosts events and functions.
